Your Ride
1954 Plymouth
It’s slow, but it’s reliable. This ‘54 Plymouth sports a hardy 230 I6 L-head mill and a 3 speed column shift manual transmission. The engine is equip with a 1 barrel Carter carburetor and produces a whopping (and optimistic) 110hp and 190 lbft of torque. With 3.73 rear gears and a very low engine red line, this car cannot do interstate speeds well, but is surprisingly peppy and easy to control and maneuver in city traffic.

Devin Sykes
I bought my first car when I was 15. It was a 1970 Plymouth Satellite and since then I’ve owned 20 pre-1980 vehicles. From 20’s sedans to 60’s Chrysler muscle cars, automobiles have and continue to fascinate and inspire me.
Naturally, as an auto-enthusiast, I was drawn to the unique and impactful history of Detroit and its contributions to the automotive industry. I have spent the majority of my career as a Mechanical Engineer at a Big 3 automotive manufacturer. While in high school I worked as a general mechanic and then at a custom hot rod shop before graduating from college. Immediately after college, I was an auto technician, building resto-mods and prototypes for OEMs.
Detroit history has always been a passion of mine. I served on the Rochester Hills Historic District Study Committee, and volunteered to help maintain the Dodge Brothers automobile fleet at Meadowbrook Hall. I look forward to showing you around the city!
